Florrie Ford - Grand Lady of Vaudeville (1876-1940)
Florrie Ford was the Kylie Moinogue of her day - especially in England.
At 16 she had run away to Sydney to pursue a career in vaudeville, and was an instant success. She sang at the Constitutional Convention dinner in Adelaide in 1897, and then toured England for the first of many times. Florrie's repertoire included risque ditties such as 'She wore a little safety pin behind'.
